Who are the surf instructors?
How many students per group?
To ensure high quality, groups are kept small.
Beginner group: max. 3 students per instructor
Intermediate: max 2 students per instructor or 1-on-1 coaching, depending on surf conditions
When is the surf season in Cherating?
The surf season runs from November to March. Best conditions are during the northeast monsoon, especially December to February.
What makes Cherating special for surfing?

Is the beginner lesson suitable for complete beginners?
Absolutely. The beginner session is designed for those with zero experience. You’ll learn about wave safety, paddling, popping up, stance, and etiquette — all in a safe, shallow water environment.
Do I need to be able to swim?
Yes, basic swimming skills are essential for safety. You don’t need to be a strong swimmer, but you must feel comfortable in chest-deep water and small waves.

Can I rent a surfboard?
For your beginner & intermediate lesson we provide you with a soft top beginner surf board included in the price. For intermediate and advanced session you can rent a hard top surf board with us (Shortboard or Longboard).
Soft Top Board Rental: 1h RM30 / 2h RM40 / 4h RM50 / full day RM90
Hard Top Surf Board Rental: 1h RM60 / 2h RM70 / 4h RM90 / full day RM130
Can kids join the lessons?
Yes! Kids under 12 can join with private or family lessons, ensuring safety and fun. Please inform us in advance so we can assign the right instructor.
How do I book and pay?
Book online via our website or contact us directly. A 10% deposit confirms your spot. Payment options: Malaysian bank transfer, QR Pay.
